About 5 river miles. This usually comes out to around 2 hours, depending on swimming or shore stops and river flow.
-
Our section of the river is mellow, meandering Class 1 water with occasional ripples and small waves. The boats are very stable and have high bows, so you don’t have to get wet if you don’t want to!
-
Our boats seat between 3 and 6 adult passengers plus a guide, though weight limits can apply. Large parties will be in multiple boats. There is nothing finer than friends in a flotilla!

Montana law requires all children under the age of 12 to wear a lifejacket while onboard. While we carry enough life jackets for everyone on board, adults need not wear them unless they want to. On this mellow section of the Yellowstone, you will feel quite safe without one.

Once you make a booking, you will receive a confirmation text. You will also receive a text before your trip that includes the location where we’ll meet you! All trips start and end within Paradise Valley.
*If you are an Under Canvas guest, you will meet us in the main lobby tent.

In most cases, shorts, sandals, and casual summer wear will be appropriate but bring layers to be comfortable in case of chilly winds or evening cooling. While we try to bring the boats right up to shore, in the later summer months the shallow water may require you to take a few steps in the water to access the boat.
-
Trips may be postponed or canceled at the discretion of the guide for extreme weather or wind. Thirty minutes must pass after any lightning before we set sail. Rain jackets, towels, and blankets are on board in case of a mid-trip summer shower!
-
Yes! All boats have secure dry storage for cameras and other personal items.
-
Absolutely! Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages are always provided, and sandwiches from our local Matt’s Butcher Shop & Deli are available for preorder. Always feel free to BYOB, wine, or snacks. We have a cooler on board, but you can bring your own if desired.
-
Yes! We have towels ready, and lifejackets for the most leisurely of floaters. Late June through September usually offers the best weather and water temperature for a good swim.
-
We do not offer fishing on this trip. We encourage you to relax and enjoy the scenery of the Paradise Valley. If you want to fish, contact one of the many great fishing guides in the valley!

Sorry, we cannot accommodate pets. Service dogs who can travel well in boats may be allowed.
